Meet Dr. Allen
Dr. Madison Allen is a licensed clinical psychologist and founder of The Psychology Collective.
Dr. Allen is trained in providing in person and telehealth therapy services to both individuals and couples. Dr. Allen earned her bachelors degree in Psychology, masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. She completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral residency training at Florida State University, training in both psychological and medical settings. Dr. Allen has experience working in university, medical, community mental health, and private practice settings.
Dr. Allen was drawn to the field of clinical psychology as a result of curiosity about humans and how they function independently and within their relationships. Rooting her understanding of people in evidence-based yet dynamic theory and practice is an important part of Dr. Allen’s work and passion. She finds that helping people to gain insight and improve their well-being and relationships is the most important part of her work.
Dr. Allen resides in the Tampa Bay area. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, Rhett and Rorie. Dr. Allen enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants and local activities, and attending Clemson University football games in her home state of South Carolina. She spends a great deal of time in Massachusetts and the New England area visiting with family and taking in the spectacular summer months.
She is currently licensed in Florida, Massachusetts, and holds an Authorization to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) in 42 PSYPACT approved states.
